PYAVAC Explorer Post
The
Explorer Post was first started in April of 2002.
We are a group of teens ages 14-21 who have been
trained in CPR, first aid, and basic ambulance
training. We work with EMS personnel on calls and
are able to preform necessary tasks such as taking
blood pressure or pulse.
Our
group meets twice a month to train or discuss
business matters. We have a board of directors
consisting
of a President, Vice-President of Training, Vice-President
of Operations, a seceratary, and a treasurer.
When
Explorers become 16 they are able to advance their
training and become a CFR (Certified First Responder).
Currently, we have 3 CFR's and 4 training to become
a CFR.
Our
upcoming fundraisers will be carwashes during the
summer, and a possible chicken barbeque and spaghetti
dinner. To award the Explorers for their hard work
and time, we go on trips to Darien Lake and Watkins
Glen.
New
Members are always welcome.
