AM-CORPS

AM-CORPS is a community ambulance subscription program which will continue to deliver state-of-the-art pre-hospital care to Yates County residents.

Along with Penn Yan Ambulance service, which responds to an average of 1400 calls per year, the AM-CORPS program includes Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital's Advance Life Support intercept vehicle. In the past Medic 55, staffed volunteers, has responded to more than 650 emergencies annually.

When you are transported by Penn Yan Ambulance we bill your insurance carrier. However, as an AM-CORPS subscriber, there will be no out-of-pocket expense for ambulance service. (Some insurance carriers pay only a portion of the bill.) Those who do not subscribe will be responsible for the balance due after the insurance carrier has been billed and payment received.

Care may be provided by Penn Yan Ambulance, Medic 55 or both based on the needs of the patient and crew availability.
